Background / History

Izayoi first appears while Yayoi and Kakuzu are capturing the weakened Seven-Tails. She attempts to stop them, displaying strong will and loyalty to the Uchiha Clan despite learning of the Senju–Uchiha alliance. Yayoi spares her, but she leaves rather than accepting his explanation. 3

After Uchiha Madara leaves Konoha, Izayoi departs with the radical Uchiha faction and works as a mercenary alongside Uchiha Meiluo. Elder Kure invites her to return to the clan, but she refuses; she remains committed to her independence, anti-Senju resentment, and pursuit of revenge. 52

She later joins the Uchiha branch that settles in the Land of Night. Initially posted as a squad leader at Base No. 3 in the Black Mountain Mining Zone, she commands three ninja and twenty-two samurai. The position provides little work and generous pay, but she finds it unfulfilling because it leaves her far from Yayoi. 103
