Background and History

The sect was founded tens of thousands of years ago after its early sages established herb fields in the spiritually rich Green Pill Mountain Range. Its ability to cultivate its own medicinal herbs and refine pills allowed it to endure as one of the region's major sects for over ten thousand years. 133 135 192

Green Pill Sect is regarded as the foremost alchemy sect in the Spirit Mist Mountain Range. Its pillcraft supports its disciples' cultivation, giving many of them higher cultivation levels than similarly equipped disciples from rival sects. 133 157

During the Ten Thousand Withered Ridge Cavern Trial, the sect joined the other major and minor sects in reopening ancient Spirit Stone mines. Ye Qin ultimately delivered eight mine-tunnel map scrolls to the sect, giving it one quarter of the known scrolls and a substantial advantage in securing valuable mining areas. 147 190 192

The trial also exposed factional conflicts within the sect. Wu Jian attempted to seize Ye Qin's Foundation Establishment Pills through false accusations; after the incident, Wu Jian was punished and Vice Sect Master Wu was demoted. 191 192

As conflict spread through the Spirit Mist Cultivation World, Green Pill Sect dispatched cultivators to help defend Spirit Mist City. Many of its East Sea disciples later depended on the Green Pill Workshop for income and mutual support. 262 356 455

Completion of a sect task establishes a “predestined connection” with the sect under the rules recognized by the Spirit Mist Mountain Range's cultivation sects. This principle allowed Ye Qin to enter despite suspicions about his background and low apparent potential. 133

The sect also directly accepts exceptionally talented youths with strong single-element spiritual roots. 133

Green Pill Palace

Green Pill Palace developed from the Green Pill Workshop founded by Huangfu Binger and fellow Green Pill Sect cultivators in White Floating City. The workshop maintained a courtyard exceeding ten mu, with gardens and dozens of alchemy furnaces. 455

Before the palace's establishment, the workshop supported four Green Pill Sect Golden Core ancestors and roughly forty to fifty Foundation Establishment cultivators who had crossed into the East Sea. They relied on pill refinement because they lacked local backing, connections, and independent sources of cultivation resources. 455

Following Ye Qin and Huangfu Binger's Nascent Soul breakthroughs, the Green Pill Sect expanded its East Sea presence into Green Pill Palace. The palace established pill shops in major immortal cities, acquired dozens of spirit islands for herb cultivation, and drew on the sect lineage's expertise in both planting herbs and refining pills. 617 618

By the later East Sea period, Green Pill Palace had two Nascent Soul cultivators, more than twenty Golden Core cultivators, and nearly two hundred Foundation Establishment cultivators. 618
