They moved in secret and were extremely difficult to detect.
Even the weakest were on par with Human Race cultivators in the Golden Core Realm. Working together, several of them could slaughter an entire life-bearing planet in a very short time, so long as it lacked the protection of mid- to high-level cultivators.
The strongest, like the one before them, could contend with Void Return Realm cultivators.
Rumor had it there was an even higher tier: Dao Soldier Strange Beasts, said to rival the great powers of the Human Race who had reached Dao Integration!
Zhang Yunlu stared intently at the battlefield ahead.
She saw the two golden-light manifestations, each with four arms, slam together the lightning and fire held in their hands.
Purple thunderbolts capable of splitting the cosmos and golden flames powerful enough to burn a star system intertwined, forming a purple-and-gold divine blade that pierced through the starry river and thrust toward the coiling, hideous giant serpent.
The giant serpent showed no fear. It opened its enormous jaws, its pillar-like fangs wreathed in purple-black light and exuding an ominous aura, and bit down at the purple-and-gold divine blade, which seemed like divine punishment.
The void trembled as terrifying shockwaves rolled out in layers. The energy-storage artifacts forming a spherical shell around the star system kept cracking; they seemed close to giving way.

Zhang Yunlu paused and turned to look at Chi Jiuyu.
"A scene like this would be such a shame without sound, wouldn't it?" Chi Jiuyu chuckled.
She had just provided the sound effects.

Her silly antics had dispelled much of the tense atmosphere.
Zhang Yunlu looked at the star system, now reduced to utter devastation.
"Then does that
