Honestly, I was really surprised this book had done as well as it had.

First, a word about the update schedule and number of chapters.
At midnight tonight, I'd post three chapters first, then put up the rest after I got up in the morning (because I really had no chapters saved up).
After that, I'd update at least three chapters a day, tentatively at noon or five in the evening. If anything changed, I'd let you know in advance.
The bonus chapter plan was still up in the air.
Now, a few words about the story itself.
The opening section about Confusion was a little awkward, because my original plan was to reveal the information about him and the Cang Race near the end of the third trial.
But that would've dragged the pacing out, so I brought him in early instead.
Also, this third trial was just a transition, so I didn't plan to spend too much time on it. The story would soon move on to the return to the Sword Sect.
Um...
In the end, I just didn't have the writing chops. There were lots of things I wanted to write, but couldn't get down on the page.
By the way, this was my second book on Qidian.
The first one, from over a year ago, was such a mess that it didn't get signed even after several tens of thousands of words.
So I guess I could still be considered a newcomer.
I hope you'll bear with all the rough edges.
