Background / History

Six years before her introduction, Xiao Yi Xian lost her parents and village to a plague caused by her uncontrolled poisonous Dou Qi. Yun Zimo found her kneeling before fresh graves in the rain, filthy, injured, and unwilling to respond. Offers of strength failed to reach her; the possibility of using poison to save lives finally persuaded her to ask him for instruction 14.

Under Yun Zimo's guidance, she became a physician and took charge of the Yun family's Ten Thousand Medicine Pavilion in Green Mountain Town. Its growth surprised even him, and she took pride in managing it well enough to contribute something to his life 14.

She is affectionate and occasionally playful with Yun Zimo, but cold and forceful toward unwanted advances or threats. He finds her amid a Woe Poison Body eruption and seals its advance. Yao Lao subsequently intervenes after Yun Zimo deliberately triggers another eruption to force an opportunity for treatment 14 16 17.

She then accompanies Yun Zimo through the Misty Cloud Sect to Jia Nan Academy. Cultivation under the Fallen Heart Flame improves her control and carries her to Dou Grandmaster within a month 17 19.

Butterfly Medical Valley and the Chu Yun War

As the Heavenly Poison Lady, she leads Butterfly Medical Valley into the three-nation coalition army. Her repeated fights with Medusa help maintain the deception needed to lure Iron Protector into revealing himself 60 65.
