As the dignitaries withdrew, Saint Garud turned and ordered the guards and accompanying Marines, "You all leave too. I want to catch up with Saint Doflamingo alone."
The hall was empty, leaving only the two men in glass helmets and the bull shark fish-man crawling along as a conveyance.
Along the VIP passageway, slaves of every shape and kind—men and women—could be seen behind the glass walls on either side, locked in steel cages like merchandise in display windows for visitors to admire and choose from.
Saint Garud could not even be bothered to look at them. He complained, "Where are the mermaids? I don't want to look at this garbage. There's nothing worth collecting here."
Doflamingo chuckled without replying, flicking a transparent thread from his fingertip.
Sliding panels in the floor and walls of the venue opened, revealing a hidden staircase that led down to private boxes surrounding a dance floor, like an underground palace.
They sat on a private sofa. With a light clap from Doflamingo, a massive fish tank rose from the circle of light at the center of the dance floor.
Inside swam five beautiful women with mermaid tails. Their entire upper bodies emerged above the water, with only shells covering their ample breasts.
Saint Garud cried out in delight and eagerly rushed to the tank, pressing his face to the glass. "Dive! Dive! Dance for me!"
The beautiful women obediently submerged themselves and began circling gracefully through the water.
After watching with a foolish grin for a long while, Saint Garud frowned and turned around. "Why do they all have a ring of scars around their waists where they connect to their tails? So ugly! And why are their faces getting paler and paler? They look like they're dying!"
Doflamingo lounged on the sofa, giggling
