Background
Orphaned at seven, Yin Fenghai lived successively as a beggar, Taoist priest, blacksmith, and soldier. He entered the righteous path and later the demonic cult, killing imperial provincial governors as well as demonic-cult elders. His actions provoked both the imperial court and martial world into placing a bounty on him; before reaching the Heavenly Human realm, he disappeared for several years to evade their pursuit. 78
He later emerged at Chuizuo Mountain outside Great Gan's capital and meditated there for a hundred days before breaking through to the Heavenly Human realm. The breakthrough shook the three-thousand-zhang mountain and alarmed the imperial capital. He defeated the Mountain-Carrying Arhat, then departed after declaring that the mountain was beneath him. 78
For sixty years after that battle, Yin Fenghai remained undefeated, defeating every one of the Heavenly Human Ranking's top five combatants and seeking out reclusive experts across the world. Finding no opponent who could surpass him, he withdrew into the mountains to seek the Void Realm. 78 82
Appearance
Yin Fenghai is portrayed with a lean, refined face and calm features. His clothing varies with circumstance: he first appears to Huang Tian in flowing white robes, while later depictions show him in a dark robe with long hair secured by a white-jade hairpin. 136 227
- Moonlight appears to gather around him when he manifests before other martial artists, making him the visual focus of the night. 136
- His Immortal-Demon Dual-Aspect manifestation presents opposing holy immortal light and dark demonic qi. 149
- When wielding the Gilded Painted-Pole Halberd, his bearing becomes that of an overbearing war god. 227
Personality
Yin Fenghai is fiercely proud and values his own martial path above external treasures. Although he seeks the Void Realm, he refuses to accept a divine weapon's inheritance if doing so would require abandoning the path he cultivated for himself. 136
His invincibility does not make him complacent. He actively seeks worthy opponents, recognizes Huang Tian's superior talent without resentment, and treats battle as an opportunity to test and refine the Dao. 82 136 148
Despite claiming to have no ties in the Five Directions World, he later risks himself against two Supremes to defend Vast Battle Star. 150 227
