"Holy shit! What was that sound?!"
As the piercing cry shook the sky, startled shouts rang through the classroom. Li Guanglin sprang to his feet, excited and curious. "Let's go take a look!"
Huang Tian nodded and headed outside. It was between classes, but because of the school rule to avoid lingering in the corridors during breaks, most students had stayed in their classrooms. Now, hearing the strange sound, many poured out to investigate, and the corridor quickly filled with people.
"Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! That bird's huge!" Many students exclaimed as they stared at the eagle-like bird high above, its wings spanning seven or eight meters.
"It looks like a small plane flying up there!"
"Do we have birds that big in Shangyuan City? How come I've never seen one?"
"It won't suddenly swoop down and bite us, will it?"
"Probably not. I've never heard of birds eating people. Unless they're eating a corpse, they shouldn't dare mess with humans."
"Man, imagine flying on that bird's back!"
"Does anyone else feel a little hot? Damn, I feel warm. I'm not coming down with a fever, am I?"
"Huh, now that you mention it, I feel a little hot too—"

While the students chattered, Huang Tian drew his gaze back from the giant bird flying into the distance and silently sensed the world around him.
The rules of this world—its laws, or rather, its Dao—were similar to those of the Chaos Sea he had known before, but not identical.
That was hardly surprising. This was the one True Realm, while the Void Realm he had previously inhabited was like its projection, a shadow. Similarity was inevitable; being exactly alike was impossible.
