In the main hall of the Yuxin City Security Command Center, dozens of large screens stood in rows, cycling through surveillance feeds from across the city.
Suddenly, an officer cried out, "That's Kong Xiancao from Hongzhen Pharmaceuticals!"
The other officers looked up at a screen. There, Kong Xiancao, clad in azure armor, shot into the sky and swiftly vanished from the feed.
"Where's he going in such a hurry?" one asked. "He's a Beta-Class Cyborg. If he causes trouble in the city, we'll have a real mess on our hands."
"Contact the officers patrolling the streets. Ask whether anyone's spotted Kong Xiancao."
"I'll do it now!"
A young officer in square-framed glasses quickly contacted the officers out on patrol.
Before long, he set down his communicator, his expression grave. "The Third Squad spotted Kong Xiancao flying toward Chenghe District. From what we've gathered, his subordinates clashed with the White Ape Martial Arts Hall while investigating the Troll. They came off worse, so Kong Xiancao's going there to back them up."
The officers in the hall frowned. "Hongzhen Pharmaceuticals is getting more and more outrageous. But how could a small outfit like the White Ape Martial Arts Hall hold off Kong Xiancao's subordinates?"
The young officer gave them two words: "Huang Tian."
Understanding dawned on the others. As they knew it, Huang Tian was a martial artist who had broken through his limits once, perhaps even twice. He should have strength no weaker than an Alpha-Class Cyborg. With his students helping him, he could indeed have held off Kong Xiancao's subordinates.
"Should we report this to Deputy Director Song?" someone asked.
"Of course. A Beta-Class Cyborg is on the move. What if something serious happens? We need to report it to Director Qin too," another answered.
