Chapter Summaries

The Frost King and the True Ancestor agreed to work together to kill Sequence 009, but Sequence 009 escaped by scattering his body. At an underground Hand of the Serpent base, Meng Qing revived Yang Lin, only for Li Yuan to take control of him and confront Meng Qing.

• The Frost King froze the Lord of Flesh and Blood, then asked the True Ancestor to help break Sequence 009’s Immortal Body in exchange for help dealing with Sea King.
• Sequence 009 shattered himself and scattered, but the Frost King stopped his fleeing body parts; the old I Ching man left, and Yang Lin’s corpse was missing.
• Meng Qing used the lower ritual from a borrowed book to restore Yang Lin’s body and summon his soul, but a mental barrier repelled Meng Qing’s attempt to reach him.

Li Heng, now the Lord of the Red Flow, rescued Lilith from two werewolves while searching for the Wolf King. After Lilith recognized him, he explained that he had become detached from worldly life and left her behind.

Li Heng tried to recruit Ye Long to Nine-Tailed Fox’s cause, but Ye Long refused over Sea King’s killing of his mother, and the monsters surrounded him.

• Li Yuan controlled Yang Lin’s body while Yang Lin’s consciousness sank toward a pair of enormous eyes in the deepest layer of dreams.
• Nine-Tailed Fox’s conference unanimously approved revealing Containment Objects to the public, and monster sightings confirmed the threat as panic spread across the globe.

Arthur then killed the Rat King to prevent a future conflict and prepare to challenge powerful monsters with his new weapon.

Sequence 009 tracked down Insects, defeated him with a newly split bone blade, and sought his help against the fourth-tier entities backing Nine-Tailed Fox.

Li Yuan unified the world’s factions and ruled as its guardian while preserving the Era of Panic, as Chen Ye used the Future Chapter to send Sequence 079 into the past. The chapter ended with Chen Ye having created a special greater world, identified as Number 017: Yi Jing (Taiji).

• Sequence 009 knelt before Li Yuan and pledged to serve him, while Li Yuan returned Yang Lin’s body, soul, and talismans to Meng Qing in exchange for Nine-Tailed Fox’s continued service.
