Kurenai Yuhi's home stood farther in on the west side, in Konoha's inner district.
It was a detached house with a small garden.
It wasn't as grand as the one at Eri's Courtyard, with its cherry blossom trees, but it was just as carefully maintained, giving off a faint floral scent.
After returning from the Psychology Clinic, Kurenai Yuhi changed into loose, beige loungewear, loosely tied her long hair behind her head, and began preparing dinner.
She was having a guest over tonight.
Besides the main course, she had prepared a fruit platter and sake.
On the low table in the living room, Kurenai had also made sure to put out Three-Color Dango.
She had gone out of her way to buy them, and now they sat on a plate, the glutinous rice skin still giving off a hint of steam.
"Red! I'm here~"
Before the woman herself arrived, her voice came in from outside.
A moment later, a soft thud sounded from the entryway. The door swung open, and a kunoichi wearing a black fishnet bodysuit beneath her clothes, with her purple hair tied in a high ponytail, walked in.
The visitor was Mitaraishi Anko, Kurenai Yuhi's close friend and confidante.
As soon as she entered, she kicked off her shoes and hurried over to the low table as though she knew the place by heart. She picked up a skewer of Three-Color Dango and stuffed it into her mouth, exclaiming through her chewing,
"It's so much more comfortable at your place! Unlike me, I'm always going from one mission to another. I don't even have time to go eat Three-Color Dango."
She chewed as she looked at Kurenai.
"I'm so jealous. Now that you've got a job as a clinic assistant, you don't have to run around miserably
