Empowered by Lightning Style chakra, his White Fang Short Sword turned into a bolt of lightning. He lunged forward at incredible speed, and the short blade pierced straight through an Amegakure Chunin trying to sneak up on Hyuga Ginka. The Chunin had not even had time to throw his kunai before the Lightning Style chakra on the blade completely paralyzed him. His stiff body pitched forward and crashed into the rainwater with a dull thud.
"They're Konoha ninja, be careful!"
The remaining Amegakure ninja retreated one after another, the anger on their faces turning into wariness.
Konoha was a ninja village from a major nation, and Konoha ninja had always been known for their formidable strength.
If they had still harbored some wishful thinking earlier, believing that having more people meant they could easily overwhelm fewer opponents, then the sight of their companions' corpses lying in the rain completely shattered that illusion.
"Go help them!"
Yahiko made the decision at once and waved to the Akatsuki members behind him.
No matter who Qingyu was, he was helping Akatsuki fight Amegakure's enemies right now. That was enough.
The few remaining Akatsuki members rushed out of the alleyways, hurling shuriken and Explosive Tags at the remaining Amegakure ninja like a downpour.
Yahiko joined the battle as well.
His hands flashed through seals, Water Release chakra gathering in his palms. A water dragon rose from the pooled water beneath his feet and pounced at an Amegakure Chunin attempting to use an Earth Release Ninjutsu.
The water dragon slammed into the Chunin head-on, blasting him away and into a wall with the sound of bones shattering.
As Akatsuki's leader, Yahiko was actually quite strong and particularly skilled in Water Release Ninjutsu.
He
