She looked so proud of his achievement that the ninja around her couldn't help smiling.
Then Tsunade suddenly rubbed her hands together, her eyes darting about as she leaned toward Nara Shikaku.
"Hey, Shikaku, we've earned so much credit this time. The old man isn't going to let that go unrewarded, is he?"
Nara Shikaku immediately looked resigned, unsure whether to laugh or cry. "Lord Hokage will certainly reward you. Please rest assured, Lady Tsunade."
Tsunade then turned and walked toward Qingyu.
Qingyu stood by the sea, still holding Samehada, which had finally settled down.
Most of the bandages around the great blade had come loose, revealing its savage-looking body. Countless spiked scales gleamed dark red in the sunset.
"Qingyu, what are you going to do with Samehada?"
Tsunade walked up beside him, her golden-brown eyes sweeping over Samehada.
The blade was one of Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen's weapons, and an extraordinary one at that.
Qingyu glanced at Samehada in his hand and considered it.
"I'm going to erase the Summoning Marks first."
He spoke.
The blade carried Summoning Marks and traces of chakra from generations of wielders in Kirigakure.
If he didn't remove them completely, carrying it around would leave him vulnerable to being tracked by Kirigakure.
Tsunade nodded.
"But Samehada absorbs chakra, so be careful when you erase the marks."
"I know."
Qingyu acknowledged her warning, wrapped Samehada up again, and strapped it to his back.
Then Qingyu went to retrieve Jinin Akebino's blunt blade, Kabutowari.
The weapon actually consisted of two parts.
An axe and a hammer. The instant the hammer struck, hitting it again with the axe produced tremendous force.
Qingyu tried it out and discovered that Kabutowari was also a special ninja tool.
