Three old hands and Kastro... Gotoh had gone out and returned with the official match schedule after responding to the invitation.
"At the Young Master's request, his match against Harinson has been scheduled after Wing's."
"God Spear Guy's match has been pushed back by a day. I looked into Harrison. He's a cruel man who loves torturing his opponents to death. Before coming to Heavens Arena, he worked as a hired thug for the underworld using his Hunter License. Then he raped and murdered the boss's daughter, and was wanted on the dark web."
"He's a professional Hunter, too?"

One slash... two slashes... three. The Cane Sword stopped at the tip of Gotoh's nose.
Roy had practiced Sun Breathing. He took a towel from the young butler and wiped down the Cane Sword.

Without looking up, he asked, "And the last one?"
"The remaining contender, Ninja Kikuta Tadashi, couldn't beat Harinson or Guy." Gotoh had noticed the long-haired boy he'd encountered at the front desk earlier. After weighing his words, he reminded Roy, "Young Master, you turned Kastro down again. I expect... he won't take it well and may cause trouble."
The butler pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "We should just kill him after all."
Roy finished wiping down the Cane Sword. His gaze and its tip lined up as he admired the "brand-new" blade gleaming coldly in the sunlight. He said noncommittally, "You're too late."
"Ring, ring..." The doorbell rang.
Gotoh frowned and opened the door, revealing Kastro's pale face.
"Why won't you accept my challenge?"
"Why should I?"
Roy didn't even look at Kastro. He simply played with the Cane Sword, building a bond with it.
