Bear's repulsion did not simply send the body flying. It wrapped the person in a paw-shaped bubble, using the bubble as both shield and cushion. Just now, Bear seemed to have pressed down on something spherical, but he saw nothing beneath him.

Machines could always see more than the human eye. Kurh was the one who had just rushed out of the explosion's smoke, and after spotting the strange "air raid," he immediately began digging underground.
Humans could not see him, but the mecha's detection radar could track his location. From Ginny's perspective, a point of light was sprinting upward from below.
"Behind you to the left, at eight o'clock!"
Bear trusted Ginny completely. Upon hearing the general direction, he immediately turned and struck to the side. At the same time he swung his palm, a bizarre creature burst out of the ground.
It had black-and-red armor, an arthropod-like upper body, and, most importantly, more than a dozen arms along both sides of its body.
Bear's strike hit the target squarely. The Buccaneer Tribe's monstrous strength, comparable to that of the Giant race, combined with the Paw-Paw Fruit's power, smashed several of the creature's arms apart the instant the impact landed.
Although its remaining arms struck Bear's body, the impact had weakened them so much that those punches carried barely any force.
"You're damn tough, big guy."
A great deal of strangely colored fluid sprayed from its severed arms. Sprout-like limbs began emerging from the wounds as well. They grew slowly, but it was clear that its body was regenerating.
