Chapter 75: Borsalino, You Place Too Much Faith in Your Own Abilities
"An intensive training camp led by former Admiral Zephyr? That sounds pretty good."
Two days later, in the Marine Headquarters recruit dormitories, Sakazuki received Headquarters' transfer orders for them.
"I heard he could no longer continue fighting on the front lines due to health reasons. Our instructor was only promoted to admiral four years ago, wasn't he? I wonder what he went through."
Borsalino read the detailed notice from Headquarters beside him, though some details had been concealed. The former Marine admiral could no longer undertake lengthy overseas assignments because he was worried about his family—a reason too absurd to make public.
The current admiral needed a reason to transfer into an instructor position, and thus this explanation came about. Zephyr himself accepted it as well.
At the moment, he and Sakazuki were roommates, sharing this two-person room.
They were both outstanding recruits sent over by branch bases from various regions, so this treatment was only natural.
"Sakazuki, it looks like the road ahead will be dangerous."
"To eliminate those rampaging pirates, any price is worth paying. If you're afraid, then why did you come here?"
"You'll have to compensate them if you smash the table, Sakazuki. If I remember correctly, you're penniless right now."
Whenever pirates were mentioned, Sakazuki's anger was obvious. In his agitation, smashing tables seemed to have become a habit, but Borsalino immediately ruined the mood.
Sakazuki said nothing. He simply took the notice from Borsalino and began reading it himself.
The two of them were both troublemakers among the recruits, yet they got along surprisingly well. Otherwise, they would not have been assigned to the same dormitory.
Following the time listed on the notice, the recruits gathered at the training grounds on schedule.
