The man seemed to know what Miao Qingfeng was thinking. "I once saw you from afar, senior, displaying your divine might on Oxback Mountain."
Ye Jingzhe did not mention that Miao Qingfeng had glanced at him from afar back then, too. Miao Qingfeng likely knew as much; he simply had not thought Ye Jingzhe worth remembering.

He did not panic. He guessed that the Dao Ancestor had intervened to stop him from revealing his identity before Ye Jingzhe.
Sure enough, Yu Xiu's airy voice followed. "Disciple of Spirit Void Cave, what brings you here?"
Ye Jingzhe started. When did another person appear here?
Until that moment, he had clearly seen only Miao Qingfeng!
His heart lurched, and every hair on his body stood on end. It was terrifying!
