Ch. 761Blasting the Heaven-Hunting Elder Apart!
Plot points and events
- Jiang Lingsu effortlessly destroys all four of the Heaven-Hunting Elder’s clones with his Chaos Yin-Yang Law, then attacks the Elder directly.
- Jiang and the Elder fight fiercely above the altar. Jiang’s power can match the veteran ninth-level Immortal Lord, but he cannot overcome the Elder’s experience and unconventional Heaven-Hunting Law. Meanwhile, the Elder continues activating a teleportation formation.
- Determined to prevent the Elder’s escape, Li Qingshan uses Qin Wencang’s Primordial Unity Immortal Talisman. Its Sword of All Living Beings overwhelms the Elder’s Immortal King artifact, the Void-Sealing Treasure Mirror, splits the Elder’s body, and damages the altar.
- Jiang strikes the Elder’s broken body apart. Li uses the Great Devouring Immortal Art to absorb some of the scattered immortal golden essence, but the Elder’s primordial spirit escapes in an immortal Dao seed through the completed formation.
- Though the Elder escapes to another heaven domain, Li recovers four or five of his storage rings and the damaged Void-Sealing Treasure Mirror. He and Jiang leave before the underground chamber collapses, taking their haul with them.
Character developments and interactions
- Jiang Lingsu demonstrates overwhelming control over chaos laws, destroying the clones instantly and helping shatter the Elder’s body. His calm, almost casual demeanor after the battle leaves Li increasingly unsure how powerful he really is.
- Li Qingshan acts decisively, spending a supreme talisman to stop the Elder and then exploiting the opening to devour his essence. He is frustrated that the Elder survives but quickly turns to the valuable spoils, prioritizing secrecy as he and Jiang depart.
- The Heaven-Hunting Elder is revealed as exceptionally difficult to kill: even after his body is destroyed, he preserves his core and escapes in Dao-seed form. He resents Li and vows to remember him.
