Put Learning into Practice

A young man dressed in grayish-white clothes stood there, smiling at Xiao Yu. Though he wore a smile, they could all see the trace of insincerity in his expression.

Xiao Yu's originally smiling face gradually darkened. After giving the young man an expressionless glance, she said flatly, "Long time no see! Also, we're not that close. Just call me Xiao Yu!"

Xiao Yu and Xiao Yan both glanced curiously at Luo Bu. This fellow really did not have a likable face. He looked somewhat crafty, and the scheming calculation in his eyes made people uncomfortable. No wonder Xiao Yu did not think much of him!

Luo Bu's expression turned somewhat ugly, but he quickly composed himself and asked with a smile, "Yu—Xiao Yu, did you bring these people here?" Luo Bu ultimately changed how he addressed her.

"Mm." Xiao Yu nodded casually. After introducing everyone, she said, "I brought them here for testing!"

"I see." Luo Bu nodded with a smile, then took out a red crystal ball and said, "As it happens, I still have a testing crystal here. The others have all been taken to the front for the examination. If you wait, it'll probably take a while, so why not use mine?"

The girls beside them were all left dumbfounded by Xiao Yu's action. A trace of confusion flashed through Xiao Xun Er's eyes, as she did not know what Xiao Yu was trying to do.

Luo Bu's face instantly darkened. Before Xiao Yu could resist, she heard Xiao Yu whisper in her ear, "Do you hate this Luo Bu? Play along. I'll help you teach him a lesson!"

At once, Xiao Yu stopped struggling, thoughts racing through her mind. Though she did not know how Xiao Yu intended to teach him a lesson, she reacted quickly and played along.

Xiao Yu's warm breath brushed against Xiao Yu's ear as he spoke, making her entire face flush red. She looked incomparably shy, while Luo Bu's fists clenched with cracking sounds. Yet he still did not explode!

After speaking, Xiao Yu released Xiao Yu. Luo Bu gave Xiao Yu a dark look and said, "Now that you've finished testing, please go outside and stay there for half an hour!"

Following the direction Luo Bu pointed, they saw boys and girls sitting on the ground outside beneath the blazing sun. Xiao Yu's brows shot up, and her face turned frosty as she snapped, "Luo Bu, what do you mean by this?"

"Rules, naturally. The new students these days are becoming increasingly impatient and impetuous. This is to temper their dispositions and help them adapt to academy life more quickly," Luo Bu said expressionlessly.

"Don't feed me that nonsense. I can't be bothered to care if you bully those new students, but don't do this to the people I brought!" Xiao Yu said coldly.

The girls beside her also frowned and said, "Enough, Luo Bu. Those unwritten rules are only for bullying newcomers anyway. They're optional at best, so why make such a fuss over them?"

Luo Bu gave a cold laugh. "They took their test here with me, so I have the right to manage them now. Do I not even have that much authority?"

As they spoke, several men entered from outside the tent. Looking at Luo Bu with grins, they said, "Brother Luo Bu, it seems things aren't going too smoothly here. Need our help?"

"It's nothing. Just a few new students refusing to obey. They aren't even willing to go outside and receive the academy's welcome gift for freshmen!" Luo Bu said casually as he put away the crystal ball.

"Oh? Who is it? So blind to their place? It's been a long time since we've encountered such arrogant freshmen. Need our help?" the leading young man said with a smile. Everyone noticed a golden star on his chest, clearly indicating that he possessed the strength of a One-star Dou Zhe!

Luo Bu suddenly smiled. "Sure. Since you're all unwilling to go outside, then don't. As long as you can spar with this senior, Ge La, and last twenty exchanges in his hands, you'll be considered the winner and can stay here. How about it?"

A smile of having gotten his way flashed through Xiao Yu's eyes. This spar was exactly what he wanted. Xiao Yan had grown somewhat irritated by Luo Bu and was about to head outside when Xiao Yu stopped him.

Looking at Luo Bu, Xiao Yu said flatly, "I know you just want me to fight him, right?"

When Luo Bu saw Xiao Yu step forward, a sinister gleam flashed through his eyes. Hearing those words, he said nothing.

"There's no need to make things so troublesome. A fight is just a fight, but I'm not fighting him!" Xiao Yu said.

Several girls who were closer to Xiao Yu urged her, "Quick, talk your brother out of this!"

At the mention of sparring, Xiao Yu glanced at Xiao Yu. She was not particularly alarmed and merely looked at him without saying anything.

"Not fighting him? Then you can choose any one of these people to fight!" A mocking smile appeared on Luo Bu's face. He thought Xiao Yu was scared!

The people behind Ge La were all at the Nine-stage Dou Qi level, while some had only recently entered the One-star Dou Zhe realm. Luo Bu thought Xiao Yu wanted to fight them!

Ge La also spoke mockingly. "Don't worry. I won't hit you too hard. After all, you're my junior!"

Xiao Yu smiled faintly. "No, I'm fighting you!"

Luo Bu was stunned, then pointed at himself and said, "Are you talking to me?"

"Who else?" Xiao Yu said.

"Ha ha ha! Kid, you're very arrogant, but let me tell you something—I only recently became a Four-star Dou Zhe. Are you sure you want to fight me?" Luo Bu suddenly burst into loud laughter.

"Quick, talk your brother out of it! Luo Bu is a Four-star Dou Zhe. He can't beat him!" The girls beside Xiao Yu all urged her.

Xiao Yu was not worried. As soon as she returned, she had learned that Xiao Yu was already a Four-star Dou Zhe. Several months had passed since then, so dealing with a Luo Bu should not be a problem at all!

Meanwhile, Xun Er, Xiao Yan, and the others stood to one side as though watching a show, making no move to stop him.

"Kid, you still want to fight Brother Luo Bu? Fight me first. Let me teach you how to respect your seniors!" Ge La said as he cracked his neck.

Xiao Yu suddenly turned to Ge La and said disdainfully, "You idiot, get lost already. You're only a One-star Dou Zhe and you're still yapping here? If I were your age and still just a One-star Dou Zhe, I'd find a block of tofu and bash my head into it!"

The scene instantly fell silent. Ge La's face reddened as he stared at Xiao Yu. "You—you dare insult me!" Though he did not know what "idiot" meant, he could tell that Xiao Yu was insulting him!

Xiao Yu and Xun Er glanced strangely at Xiao Yan. After all, this was also the first time they had heard that term from Xiao Yan!

Xiao Yan spread his hands helplessly. "He learned it on his own. This is putting learning into practice, isn't it? Besides, I think Brother Yu is right!"

Xiao Yu rolled her eyes at Xiao Yan. "You were the one who led him astray. You two are both little bastards!"
