"What kind of magical beast is this? How come I've never seen one before?" Xiao Yu muttered in confusion as he looked at the snow-white magical beast before him.

The little creature had all four limbs tensed, its eyes glowing with an eerie red light, yet there was not the slightest energy fluctuation coming from its body. This completely defied common sense. By all rights, even a first-tier magical beast should possess energy fluctuations. The Cloud Wood Elephant across from it seemed rather wary of the little creature.

After letting out a mournful cry, the Cloud Wood Elephant slowly got back to its feet before leaving with evident reluctance. While Xiao Yu was still wondering what kind of magical beast this little creature was, the Purple Cloud Wings on his back fluttered gently, and he leaped down from the tree.

The little white beast had only just relaxed when it suddenly tensed up again, watching Xiao Yu warily and guarding against his every movement. Only when Xiao Yu faced it directly did he notice that it actually had two pupils in each eye, one large and one small side by side. The little white beast clearly had not expected this outcome. It immediately panicked, flailing its claws and squeaking incessantly at Xiao Yu. Strangely, the red membrane that had protected it before did not appear again. Xiao Yu guessed that it only emerged when the little creature faced mortal danger, protecting its safety. The little creature seemed to understand Xiao Yu's words, or perhaps it sensed that Xiao Yu bore it no ill will, and stopped struggling. Smiling, Xiao Yu patted the little white beast on the head, stuffed it into his pocket, then lightly fluttered the Purple Cloud Wings behind him. He shot into the air and flew toward the cave where he had been staying.

Once back in the cave, Xiao Yu took the little white beast out. Apparently displeased with how roughly Xiao Yu had handled it, it waved its four claws threateningly a couple of times before finally stopping.

Night gradually fell. Xiao Yu lit a campfire, driving away the faint chill creeping in from the mountain forest. The little creature seemed to like the fire as well. It curled up beside it and fell sound asleep, not worried in the slightest that Xiao Yu might do anything to it. Xiao Yu could only shake his head helplessly. This little fellow was far too carefree!

Afterward, Xiao Yu took out a pheasant he had hunted during the day. After sprinkling it with his homemade seasoning, he set it over the campfire to roast slowly. Before long, the aroma of grilled meat filled the entire cave. The little white beast wrinkled its nose and slowly crawled up, staring at the roasted chicken before it as drool continuously dripped from its mouth.

Seeing this, Xiao Yu could not help but laugh. "So you're a little glutton too?"

The little white beast did not even spare Xiao Yu a glance, its gaze fixed straight on the roasted chicken over the fire. Xiao Yu reached out and picked up the fully cooked pheasant. The golden roasted chicken, plump and dripping with fat, was exceedingly tempting.

"It can't speak. How does that count as agreement?" At that moment, a cool voice came from the entrance of the cave. Xiao Bai immediately darted behind Xiao Yu like its fur had bristled, while Xiao Yu's entire body tensed. Looking up, he saw an elegant, noble-looking mature beauty in a simple dress slowly walk into the cave.

Xiao Yu sized her up. To arrive here without making a sound and without Xiao Yu noticing, she needed at least the strength of a Dou Wang. With his Soul Power, even a cultivator at the Dou Ling realm could not possibly approach without making the slightest sound!
