"Get out of the way!"
In his desperation, Sasuke shouted.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The three kunai struck Kimura Takuya, but there was no squelch of them sinking into flesh.
Only the dull thud of a hammer striking a cutting board.
The iron kunai hit the ground.
They clattered with a sharp metallic ring.
"Well, well. Attacking a Konoha Ninja is a clear act of treason! Just like Uchiha Itachi, huh?"
"No, that's not true! Itachi didn't betray the village!"
"Hm? Didn't you say you didn't believe that? Why are you defending him?"
Seeing the conflict on Sasuke's face, Kimura Takuya raised an eyebrow and smiled playfully. He didn't wait for Sasuke to answer.
He turned and walked away, speaking over his shoulder to Sasuke.
"The mission's been called off. If you want to know why, follow me. Lord Hokage is busy with official business. He doesn't have time to coddle kids."
Kimura Takuya's figure flickered several times before quickly vanishing from Sasuke's sight.
Sasuke had just been about to protest when he froze in surprise.
So fast!
If he didn't hurry, Kimura Takuya would disappear completely. Sasuke had no choice but to follow, but the person ahead of him was like a distant mountain: he looked close, yet Sasuke could never catch up.
The two of them soon arrived atop Kage Rock.
"Why did you bring me here? What exactly was the reason for calling off the mission?"
"Huh? Before I answer that, brat, don't you think you owe me an apology?"
"Shut up! I don't have time to waste here with you. You're barely older than me! Tell me already, did that man come back? Otherwise, I won't hold back!"
"Three deadly attacks, and you call that holding back? Looks like you're in need of some training. Kunai aren't
