"Is this a dream?" Qingyun looked around, feeling nothing out of the ordinary, save for a newfound clarity in his mind.

Once Qingyun was fully awake, he discovered that he could see something strange.

"What... what is that?"

Qingyun felt a flicker of fear, for he noticed several streams of blue energy drifting about not far away. The sight unsettled him; he feared he might be seeing ghosts.

"Is this... on me, too?" Upon discovering the blue energy radiating from his own body, Qingyun immediately understood what it was.

"Is this chakra? Can I actually see chakra now?" Qingyun muttered to himself.

"Indeed. It seems you aren't quite as foolish as I thought." The speaker was no longer the white-haired elder, but a voice he had never heard before—a voice that sounded somewhat mechanical.

"Who are you? Are you the system the old man mentioned?" Qingyun countered.

"Correct. I am the system, and I am no ordinary system. I am the Devil Fruit System!" the system declared with immense pride.

"Devil Fruit? Isn't that something that only exists in the world of One Piece?" Qingyun asked.

"That is correct. Did you not consume that medicinal pill? Only by consuming it could you break through the dimensional wall and possess a system reward from another plane like me!" the system stated with conviction.

"Oh, right. You are a novice, so the system will grant you a Newbie Gift Pack! Shall I open it?" the system inquired.

"Of course!" Without a second thought, Qingyun chose to open the so-called Newbie Gift Pack.

"Congratulations! Congratulations to the host! You have obtained the Paramecia-type: Chop-Chop Fruit!"

"What?" The system's voice nearly scared the life out of Qingyun.

"The Chop-Chop Fruit? Isn't that the ability of Buggy the Clown? Do you mean I possess his powers now?"

Buggy the Clown's strength in One Piece was not considered top-tier, and compared to the heaven-defying abilities of Logia-type fruits, the Chop-Chop Fruit was indeed quite lackluster.

"System, can I swap it for something else? This ability is honestly a bit weak." Qingyun was not at all impressed; besides splitting his body apart and perhaps pulling off a sneak attack, what else could this ability do?

To his surprise, the system immediately retorted, "Host, do not look a gift horse in the mouth!"

"This is the world of ninjas! Think about it: if an enemy is unaware of your ability and swings a blade at you, and you suddenly activate the Chop-Chop ability... wouldn't that be...?" The system left the sentence unfinished, but Qingyun understood perfectly.

"Huh?" Now that he thought about it, Qingyun realized the system was right. While the Chop-Chop Fruit might be mediocre in the One Piece world, if his ability could cause an opponent to hesitate for even a split second, that opponent would undoubtedly be doomed.

One must remember that in battles between experts, a single moment determines life and death.

"Fine! Fine! Since you are the Devil Fruit System, how do I obtain new Devil Fruit rewards?" Qingyun asked directly.

The system replied, "Naturally! The Newbie Gift Pack was merely a gift; as a system, I will certainly provide even better rewards!"

"To obtain rewards, you must accumulate points and use them for exchanges!" the system explained.

"Exchange with points? How do I earn these points?" Qingyun asked immediately, as this was the key to the system.

"There are at least three ways to earn points. First, kill enemies or defeat opponents. The stronger the enemy and the higher their level, the more points you will receive!"

"Second, persuade enemies to surrender. If an enemy becomes your subordinate, you will also receive point rewards."

"Third, we will periodically issue tasks. Upon completing these tasks, you will receive a surprise ten-draw! These ten-draws contain massive point rewards."

"Every 100 points can be used to exchange for one reward."

"Understood." Qingyun had fully grasped the system's operational model; in short, it was all about fighting, killing, and completing tasks.

Just as Qingyun prepared to close the system interface, it suddenly emitted a series of ding-ding-ding alerts.

"What is it, System?" Qingyun asked immediately.

"What a coincidence! I didn't expect that the moment you awakened me, you would trigger a task!"

"What task!?" Qingyun was also quite excited. As long as he completed the task, he would get a surprise ten-draw! That was a ten-draw! The things provided by the system certainly wouldn't be trash!

"Task: Condense chakra! Learn to control it and use chakra to climb to the top of the designated tree! Time limit: one week!"

After speaking, the system vanished, leaving Qingyun alone in a state of melancholy.

"One week. Climbing a tree? Condensing chakra?" Qingyun knew that in the original story, Naruto and Sasuke had found tree-climbing incredibly difficult. He didn't know how long it took them, but it certainly wasn't simple.

"Forget it, no use dwelling on it. If I want to learn to control chakra, I must first condense it! Let me try condensing chakra again!"

Qingyun had previously thought condensing chakra was an arduous task because every attempt had failed, but this time, he found that whenever he willed it, he could clearly see the chakra pathways within his body.

"This must be thanks to that pill that broke through the dimensions," Qingyun mused. He then successfully condensed chakra, and his entire body began to glow with a blue light.

"Not bad! My chakra reserves must be unmatched among my peers, right?" Qingyun smiled, dispersed the chakra, and stopped.

This time, instead of continuing to practice chakra control, he shouted, "Chop-Chop!"

Immediately, Qingyun's body split apart: left hand, right hand, left foot, right foot...

Seeing his ability, Qingyun suddenly thought of a viable strategy.

"When Buggy the Clown splits his body, he can fly, but his feet must remain on the ground—that's a bit of a bug. However, if I learn to climb trees, my feet will become much more agile!"
