The High Marshal then fell into deep thought. He did not understand why Imotekh had done this. After forcibly releasing him, it had to know that the moment he reached Terra, the conspiracy between it and the High Lords would inevitably be exposed.

Guilliman also sank into thought.

He was equally perplexed by Imotekh's actions.

If Imotekh truly wanted the Imperium and Talon to end their cooperation, if it truly wanted the High Lords to believe that this war should never have begun, then it should not have let Hiberlain return.

Imotekh's motives for doing all this were baffling.
