"Damn bugs."

"Damn lizard bastards!"

Imotekh looked down upon the entire star system. He saw the Aeldari who had suddenly entered the battlefield, as well as the Greenskins who had appeared from nowhere—drawn to fierce war like flies to shit.

Imotekh quickly suppressed his hatred for those species and began planning for matters of greater importance.

He made two preparations.

First, continue fighting. Though Szarekh's orders to the Necron Dynasties seemed exceptionally foolish to Imotekh, they were not without a chance of victory. If they could win, then they had to keep fighting, even if it was only a costly victory.

Second, prepare to withdraw.

Imotekh alone could execute both preparations flawlessly. Through his masterful strategic coordination, he ensured that every ship could continue fighting while still being ready to withdraw at the first moment the decision was made.

But Imotekh would not easily abandon this decisive battle. Though he had never wanted one, now that it had begun, he had to achieve a favorable result.

"Foolish Szarekh." Imotekh simulated a teeth-gritting emotion. If Szarekh had not held him back, there would have been no need to make the best of a bad situation now.

"Perhaps the Silent King was not inferior to you in strategy, but in his judgment of certain matters, he absolutely surpassed you."

The one who spoke was Overlord Koren, who had come aboard Szarekh's Tomb Ship.

The Pharaohs of the other Dynasties no longer raised any objections after seeing Imotekh command the battle on their behalf.

Hearing Koren's words, Imotekh naturally dismissed them. "Szarekh has deceived you badly indeed. You actually believe he has truly come to his senses and will no longer cast aside the interests of the entire species for his own schemes. You are wrong."

Koren's breathing lights flashed several times.
