"It was settled."

World Shaper and Void Dragon could no longer sense the Supreme Star Gods' presence in the main dimension. That meant they had undoubtedly been thrown into the Hypercube Maze.

Void Dragon turned to World Shaper, intending to tell it something.

But World Shaper was deep in thought. Only after a long while did it speak to Void Dragon. "I feel like one of the ones we dealt with just now had a fragment of me."

"After we finish what needs to be done and return, you and your fragment will be fused together." Void Dragon clenched its hand, and green lightning and streams of data spread farther into the distance. "Just like me."

"I'm not worried that we won't be able to fuse. It's just..." World Shaper hesitated. "It's just that I traded essence for completeness. I really don't know whether that bargain was worth it."

Hearing it question the importance of completeness and essence, Void Dragon thought for a moment, then pointed at World Shaper. "Of course completeness is more important. Look at you. You weren't like this before, but because you became a fragment, you forgot so many things. You even lost your true self. You can't even grasp the importance of being whole."

"We always have to make a choice, whether we want to or not. Like having to pick the less rotten of two rotten souls to eat."

"Once you become a little more complete, you'll understand what truly matters."

Upon hearing Void Dragon's words, World Shaper merely replied, "I've already handed over my essence anyway. I just wanted to hear what you thought."

Void Dragon did not wish to say more. It turned and looked toward the mine shafts on the planet.

That was where the Necrons had opened the Warp Rift.
