When the second God-slaying weapon was destroyed, Usulan's consciousness briefly dissipated.
As a powerful will drove Usulan to awaken as though reclaiming his soul and body, he opened his eyes and saw a white, sacred place completely enveloped in light.
Perhaps it was light released by Psychic Power.
This place was still the cockpit, filled everywhere with Crystal Seers.
Usulan raised his hand again and focused his attention outside.
"You nearly died."
A cold voice came from somewhere nearby.
Usulan looked toward it and was startled.
He saw a War Machine gleaming with two interwoven colors. It was piloted by Sal and his beloved; in human terms, it was a Titan.
Usulan had heard that Sal had been seeking revenge against him ever since the Golden Crusade. In his current state, he had to defend against the God-slaying weapons while staying conscious. If Sal chose this moment to avenge his twin sister, it would take only a single step from the Titan.
But Usulan knew Sal too well.
He was worried, but not entirely.
"You won't kill me." Usulan sneered at the Titan. "You won't. You joined the battle alongside that Savage Eldar called Namei to support the person you always called truly worthy of respect. You won't crush me now and let that worthy person be blasted to death by the God-slaying weapons."
"You'll even save me."
The more Usulan spoke, the more frenzied his smile became.
"You said I nearly died. That must mean you used the power of Mother Goddess Aisha within the white part of this Titan to drag me back from the brink of death."
