The Necron fleet sped toward a star system.

The C'tan flanked it on either side.

The World Engine, composed entirely of Blackstone, was escorted by the fleet. It operated at full power, weakening the Warp's influence as much as possible. Yet even with such a colossal Blackstone Construct pushed to its limits, it could only ensure that no Warp influence appeared near the fleet.

Within the star system targeted by the Necron fleet, a tower stood upon a planet that had clearly been artificially altered into its most perfect form.

At the tower's summit, an Eldar stood beside a projected Psychic Power star map, staring at the precisely displayed location of the Necron fleet as he contemplated.

Beside this Eldar stood an Ork as tall as a Primarch, clad in black power armor.

Eldar moved back and forth atop the tower.

On this occasion, apart from the two beings who seemed to be the Eldar and Ork commanders, there was another that remained utterly motionless.

It was a reptilian-looking creature clad in splendid garments.

Surging Psychic Power capable of tearing a rift through the Real Universe spilled out around it.

Its eyes were closed, and the wrinkled skin of its face trembled faintly with every breath.

It was an Old One named Zen.

The Father of Creation of the ancient Eldar and ancient Ork races.

Among the few remaining individuals of the Father race, this Father of Creation had been sent by the council to aid and defend the Children of the Old Ones throughout the entire star system.

The Psychic Power defensive line spanning the galaxy was collapsing.

The threat had arrived without a sound.

Other than Zen, the Old One, no one present could remain unruffled.

After a moment, Zen slowly opened its eyes.
