A Seventeenth Legion Astartes warrior known as the Hermit walked through the vast Hive City, his heavy footsteps carving a path through the dense crowds in the streets.
The broadcasts along both sides of the street, as well as the propaganda skiffs flying through the sky carrying loudspeakers, echoed with the admonitions of the Hermit's Primarch at that very moment.
"Religious belief in the Los System must be replaced!"
"You sacrifice livestock and industrial goods to your so-called gods, yet those so-called gods never came to save you. I was the one who freed you from your slavers!"
"It was Lorgar Aurelian! It was my Seventeenth Legion! We were the ones who liberated you!"
"From this day forth, the only thing you may believe in is the Imperial Truth! Only the teachings of Flame and Thunder!"

Listening to his Primarch roar over the broadcast, the Hermit passed through the crowd and arrived at the center of the square.
A great fire was burning everything in the Los System related to the local people's beliefs.

Lorgar himself stood atop the shattered remains of a golden statue of a god worshipped by the Los people, loudly explaining his arrangements for their faith.
The Primarch held a wooden, stick-like scepter in his hand.
The Imperial Eagle sat atop that scepter. It was the scepter carried by preachers of the Imperial Truth.
But the scholar who had come to Los to preach the Imperial Truth had been slaughtered by the locals, which was why Lorgar was now waving around a scepter utterly disproportionate to his own size.
The Hermit walked over.
