At Qin Mo's words, every Primarch's face showed disbelief and delight.
Having a seat on the Imperial Council would not let the Astartes get whatever favorable terms they wanted, but it was proof that they had a voice.
It was like a person's mouth. Everyone had one, and it seemed ordinary enough, but lacking one would be truly fatal.
"Horus." Guilliman immediately called Horus's name, urging him to make a decision.
The Primarchs all looked toward Horus as well.
Guilliman felt that one seat was enough, regardless of who held it or whose son was appointed.
Most of them thought the same way.
But Lorgar believed Horus would most likely appoint one of his own sons.
Perturabo, meanwhile, waited for Horus to name his chosen son, after which he would object.
Horus instantly felt the pressure.
This was a difficult decision. There were too many wolves and too little meat: the Astartes had twenty Legions and twenty-one Primarchs, yet there was only one seat.
What they had gained was already hard-won and exceptionally precious.
The seat could not be divided evenly. If they wished to avoid conflict, then Horus's own Sixteenth Legion had to be excluded first.
Qin Mo knew this was a difficult decision as well, so he signaled with his eyes that Horus need not answer; he would appoint someone himself.
But Horus felt that he should shoulder this responsibility at such a moment, so he spoke anyway. "I have decided to appoint Khârn, adjutant to the Legion Commander of the Twelfth Legion, as the Astartes Councillor of the Imperial Council."
Hearing this result, Angron, Khârn's Primarch, was stunned for quite some time.
Guilliman, on the other hand, was quite satisfied with the appointment.
The others were all more or less surprised.
"Is something wrong with your head?"
