Before he could ask more questions, Grey sensed a terrifying danger closing in. Instinctively, he used his Jump Pack to leap a hundred meters above the ground, hovering as he looked down.

The people in the position had already realized something was wrong. They either ran in every direction or hurriedly drew their weapons and fired at Qin Mo.

But it was useless.

A dazzling flash erupted from the ground, so intense that it briefly paralyzed the visual systems of the Power Armor.

The flash was followed by a thunderous roar as flames engulfed a third of the position.

It was Grey's first time seeing Qin Mo unleash such a terrifying attack. He seemed driven by overwhelming rage, his emotions pushing the destructive power beyond its normal limits for a short time.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Grey asked over the Power Armor's communications channel.

"Didn't I tell you? This place has fallen. That female officer is a Rebel Psyker, and everyone here is a Rebel!"

"Impossible! If this was a trap set by the Rebels, why would that female officer care so much about whether I was a soldier of the Marshal's Guard?"

"..."

Qin Mo did not continue arguing with Grey. Instead, he raised a hand and used telekinesis to drag him back down from the air.

Grey saw that Qin Mo's Power Armor and weapons had not been completely burned away. They merely bore countless scorch marks. He had probably used that strange ability of his at the last moment to keep his armor and weapons from burning to nothing.

"Look."

"Look at it!"

Qin Mo walked over to a charred humanoid lump and pointed at its oversized head. "Tell me, can a human grow a head like that? Does your head look like hers?"

Grey stared at the charred body. He could even recognize it as the female officer who had so warmly welcomed them.

She had been wearing a cap when she arrived, but it was gone now.

Her head looked huge and elongated, already somewhat deformed.

No, it was far more than somewhat deformed...

"I understand." Grey nodded and smashed the charred body apart with one punch.

"So you realize I was right?" Qin Mo asked.

"No. I'm still confused as hell, but I know you've always been the one who's right." As Grey spoke, he activated his Power Armor's combat mode, raised his hands fitted with Multi-lasers, and looked toward the enemies who had survived the flames and were closing in.

These enemies looked little different from ordinary humans on the surface, but all of them wore helmets to conceal the deformed skulls beneath.

There were also quite a few normal humans among them, but they all wore vacant expressions. Eyes wide and drool dripping from their mouths, they shuffled forward as though under someone's control.

Qin Mo suddenly understood why he had felt disgusted upon entering the position. There had to be one or more powerful Psykers here, and those seemingly normal humans in the position were all being controlled by them.

"Do we fight or retreat?" Grey asked as he fired.

"Fight." Qin Mo was determined to wipe this place out. He closed his eyes and began trying to use the hatred and disgust in his heart, turning those baseless emotions into guidance with a source.

Through this, Qin Mo suddenly sensed the source of the hatred within him.

Seven hundred meters straight ahead, among the soldiers closing in around them.

When Qin Mo suddenly turned his head toward the front and fixed his gaze on a female soldier seven hundred meters away—

Their eyes met, and obvious shock and panic appeared on the woman's face. She had not expected her disguise to be seen through so easily.

"Cover me." Qin Mo pointed ahead, then charged forward.

Grey followed close behind, using the Multi-lasers to clear an unobstructed path for Qin Mo while eliminating any enemies trying to surround or stop him.

After running a hundred meters, Qin Mo leaped into the air and descended toward the Psyker he had identified.

Grey jumped as well, preparing to coordinate with Qin Mo. He knew how dangerous Psykers were and could not help worrying.

The two men in Power Armor slammed into the ground. Every enemy within the Gravity Shield's range was crushed flat, and then both men raised their heads to look at the Psyker disguised as a soldier.

The Female Psyker's terror grew even stronger. She trembled from head to toe, ordering everyone nearby to stop Qin Mo at all costs while she sprinted toward the rear at astonishing speed.

"Kill her." Nothing more needed to be said. Grey immediately understood how he was supposed to work with Qin Mo.

The two diverted all of their Power Armor's energy supply to the Gravity Shields and Energy Plating, then ran toward the Psyker from opposite directions.

After only two steps, Grey suddenly collapsed onto the ground and rolled about in agony, horrifying words spilling from his mouth. "For the Imperium... for the Cult of Evolution! For our Savior!"

Qin Mo glanced at Grey, who had fallen under control, and suddenly realized that what he should have created was defensive psychic equipment, not a Psy-Suppressor that only worked within a fixed range.

For example, something like a shield that could protect its wearer from psychic attacks targeting the mind. That would prevent situations like Grey's from happening.

He had not reached the Psyker, so the Psy-Suppressor had not taken effect...

As Qin Mo considered improvements to his technological creations, his running speed had already reached its limit. His Jump Pack spewed a one-meter-long vortex of flame, providing the massive Power Armor with maximum thrust.

At that moment, the Psyker turned around and unleashed her Psychic Power on Qin Mo with all her strength, but it was useless.

"How is this possible?!" The Psyker was utterly stunned. She had run out of options and could only watch helplessly as Qin Mo charged toward her, preparing to accept her fate of being crushed flat by invisible force.

But Qin Mo suddenly deactivated the Gravity Shield, impaled the Psyker with his Chainsword, then activated the Gravity Shield again.

The soldiers and controlled humans around them charged over like madmen, but whether they fired at Qin Mo or rushed in for close combat, the Gravity Shield's range was an obstacle that filled them with despair.

"Answer me, and I'll let you die quickly." Qin Mo demanded furiously. "Was this position a trap you set for me?"

The Psyker gave no response. The Chainsword was still spinning, making her feel as though she were in hell.

Just as Qin Mo was about to continue questioning her, he saw a smile appear on the Psyker's face. Both her eyes turned purple, and she became a mouthpiece for another Psyker.

"What the hell are you? Why can't Familiars disrupt you? Why can't psychic attacks on the mind control you? What the hell is wrong with you?" she demanded in furious exasperation.

Qin Mo immediately realized that he had been targeted. Naturally, this position had been a trap set specifically for him.

"I am human," Qin Mo said.

"Human my ass. You freak, you—"

Qin Mo did not continue arguing. He released flames through the Chainsword and burned the Psyker before him to death.
