The entire process from Qin Mo's order being issued to Grey and Grot returning took less than ten minutes.
Midway, the two even had time to stop by Aiken's place and hand over Albert's corpse.
As soon as Qin Mo obtained the psyker, he immediately sent her into a room equipped with a psychic suppressor.
"Let me out!"
"I'll kill you all!"
"Wuwuwu..."
The psyker was constantly smashing and self-harming inside the room. She was extremely agitated because she had lost contact with the Gene Stealers' psychic network.
Grey and Qin Mo stood at the door, indifferently watching the psyker thrash about inside.
After watching for a while, Grey couldn't help but ask, "What use is she?"
"She's incredibly useful," Qin Mo replied with a smile. "I can use her to find the rebel chieftain's location."
"But didn't you say before that you were going to create a device for detection and positioning?"
"Yes, but with this individual, the efficiency and accuracy will be greatly improved."
Looking at the psyker in the room, Grey felt disgusted. After a moment's thought, he asked, "Do we need to take out her brain?"
"No need," Qin Mo shook his head.
"Then how do we make her obey commands without killing her?" Grey asked.
Qin Mo didn't answer immediately upon hearing this question. Instead, he smiled and looked at the psyker for a moment before turning his head and saying, "Do you know, every living being has a limit to their psychological endurance? Once that limit is broken, they collapse and go insane."
"Of course," Grey nodded. He had almost broken down when the 44th Regiment was nearly wiped out, but he just didn't like to show his emotions.
But the fact that living beings could break down was common knowledge. What did that have to do with controlling the psyker in the room?
"I will find a way to make her break down, go insane, and then find a way to tame her, to make her yield and obey." Saying this, Qin Mo turned and walked towards the underground cave, gesturing for Grey to follow him. "You should learn this, so you'll know how to interrogate enemies more efficiently in the future."
"Is this something we have to do?" Grey asked.
"No, of course not," Qin Mo immediately shook his head. "I could just tie her up, shove her into a machine, and get the results I want. However, I need you to learn interrogation techniques."
"So this is a lesson?"
"Of course."
Two days later.
During these two days, Qin Mo and Grey had been busy interrogating the rebel psyker.
Although Qin Mo always acted in an orderly manner, Grey couldn't see any method in his actions regarding this matter.
This was because Qin Mo simply devised a series of inexplicable psychological problems and then relentlessly pressured the psyker to provide answers.
The only change was that the psyker, who initially resisted answering with outbursts, had now started to answer questions obediently.
This work had continued for two full days.
Including the present moment.
"What flavor of starch do you like?" Qin Mo asked his carefully designed psychological question.
Grey stood beside Qin Mo, watching the psyker huddled in the corner, ensuring that if she dared to make any move out of line, he would crush her head.
But the psyker just cowered in the corner and obediently replied, "Starch has no flavor, sir..."
"Answer me," Qin Mo emphasized.
"But... but it really has no flavor..."
"Really? I don't believe you," Qin Mo said, shaking his head with a smile.
"..." The psyker curled up, hugging her legs, looking very pitiful. After hesitating for a long time, she still insisted, "It really has no flavor."
"Alright," Qin Mo stood up and left the room.
As Grey followed him out, he saw the guards standing outside enter the room, carrying metal batons covered in electrical wiring.
Then came a series of roars and screams.
This had also become a routine over the past two days. After Qin Mo asked what he wanted to know, the guards outside would come in.
"Did you understand?" Qin Mo asked.
"I don't understand," Grey shook his head helplessly.
"When I have some free time, I'll explain it to you in detail, or I can make a chip for you to directly read it." Qin Mo wasn't forcing Grey to learn interrogation techniques immediately. He knew that his interrogation methods, like his creations, seemed like magic to Grey.
Grey was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Why don't we just put her into the machine? If you want to teach me something, I'll learn, but this situation right now..."
"In my previous orders, I had each regiment expand to ten thousand men. These people need weapons and equipment, as well as reserve weapons and equipment. So, we now have at least two days for teaching, or we could use these two days to throw a banquet," Qin Mo said.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
Qin Mo's teaching had yielded results, and he planned to test the locator he had manufactured.
So, Grey led the psyker out of her room. Even outside, she couldn't use her psychic power because she was still wearing the psionic suppression collar around her neck.
The psyker was escorted into the underground cavern.
After she entered the cavern, the door behind them was immediately closed and blocked by Grey. She timidly looked around and saw five other people wearing powerful power armor, including Qin Mo, who had been interrogating her all these days.
"Powerful power armor" was how the rebels referred to Terminator Power Armor.
"Come here," Qin Mo beckoned.
The psyker trembled as she walked towards him.
Qin Mo grabbed the psyker by the neck, forcing her to look at a spherical machine in the corner of the cavern wall. "See that? I need you to go in, put on the helmet inside, and then sit on the chair and relax."
"Y-yes..." The psyker trembled and nodded.
Qin Mo was satisfied and unfastened her psionic suppression collar.
At this moment, Grey and the others present either gripped their gravity hammers or prepared to raise their hands to fire.
But their worries were completely unnecessary. The psyker wasn't even accustomed to the feeling of not wearing the psionic collar. She glanced at the collar with a tremble before walking into the spherical machine.
Submission, obedience—this was her current state.
Grey was very surprised. He hadn't expected those strange interrogation questions and psychological destruction methods to actually work.
When the psyker put on the helmet as Qin Mo had ordered and relaxed, her body instantly straightened, connecting her to the entire psychic network of the brood.
Resistance, strength, defiance... these concepts, forgotten by her over the past few days, surged back into her mind. Her face, originally filled with fear, now looked resolute.
Where are you, sister?
Do not give up, do not submit. For the Lord of Evolution!
We are always behind you! Be strong!
The psyker felt the information transmitted through the psychic network. She reached out to try and remove the device on her head, but the entire seat suddenly twisted, holding her firmly in place until she lost consciousness.
Outside, Qin Mo was operating the display screen connected to the machine, which was already projecting the locations of many Gene Stealer individuals.
"The brotherhood of these Gene Stealers is quite touching," Qin Mo said, sliding his finger across the screen. He filtered out most of the useless information, hoping to find the intelligence he most desired.
But this was, after all, just a test. Qin Mo didn't expect immediate results.
However, the result of this test was beyond his expectations.
The master of all Gene Stealers within the Underhive of Hive Terra had long noticed the disappearance of an important individual. When this important individual reconnected to the psychic network, the brood's master instinctively initiated a probe, and this probe was captured.
"Three hundred and forty kilometers due north of our current position, two thousand meters underground." Qin Mo looked up in that direction, his gaze blocked by the cavern wall.
And at the location Qin Mo had stated, a colossal xenos opened its eyes. Two seconds later, it closed its eyes and issued a command through the psychic network.
The surrounding broodlings immediately began preparations for relocation and transfer, while the psyker struggling within Qin Mo's machine was brain-dead.
Under the watchful eyes of Grey and the others, Qin Mo began to don the Terminator Power Armor, simultaneously issuing a command: "Once the full-scale counteroffensive begins, I will personally lead the team. We're going to complete a difficult mission that could turn the tide of the war."
