Qin Mo answered calmly, "Guilliman and Yvraine are too important. They definitely didn't bring many troops with them to Yanden Ark. I need to go pull them out."

In truth, Qin Mo had no need to concern himself with Guilliman and Yvraine at all.

They would not die, because Yvraine would be saved by the Eldar Prophet and the Phoenix Lord of Yanden Ark.

But with Guilliman involved, he could not leave everything to the Eldar.

The Imperium's current relative stability had not been granted by its enemies. It had been fought for by Guilliman and Lion, who had organized armies over the past few decades and resolved most of the defensive wars within Imperial territory.

It had been a grand expedition.

The Imperial Regent and the Warmaster had each led their own chapters and fleets on expeditions launched in two directions, east and north, with holy Terra as their point of reference.

Wars had been swiftly settled, and threats had been contained or reduced to the smallest possible danger.

When Guilliman passed through the Talon Sector, he learned that two Talon colony ships had accidentally strayed beyond the sector and run into pirates.

It was only a minor matter, but Guilliman had taken it very seriously. He had led a force away from the main army to support them, personally led the Victrix Guard in a boarding action to wipe out the pirates and rescue the colony ships, then caught up with the main force and continued commanding the war. When it was done, he had brushed off his sleeves and departed, hiding his achievements and fame.

Qin Mo had not been able to meet Guilliman during that incident or reminisce with him.

But aboard Macragge's Honour, the Imperial Regent
