"Taifon and his group have arrived at the Void Dock."

A mortal slave came before Vashtorr and reported the matter it cared about most.

Vashtorr had not come to the Void Dock to admire the scenery. It had come to receive Taifon, the esteemed guest from the Death Guard who had taken control of Nurgle's followers after Mortarion vanished without a trace.

Then Vashtorr would join the Black Legion's upper ranks in discussing joint resistance against the invasion with Taifon, the Death Guard's representative.

So, upon hearing the slave's report, Vashtorr immediately took McKayne and hurried toward the berth where the End of Days had docked in the Void Dock.

A moment later.

Vashtorr and McKayne met Taifon as he was now.

The Death Guard's First Captain looked especially bizarre and grotesque.

He still wore that heavy suit of armor, with his head hidden within it, but the armor had become like his flesh. All manner of biological organs grew directly from its surface.

A long digestive tract embedded in the armor formed the pattern of Nurgle's triple-circle emblem, the symbol of faith in Nurgle.

At Taifon's neck, tumors had replaced the armor's gorget.

A Nurgling grew from one of the bloated tumors. It had no legs, its entire upper body fused with the tumor, and it looked as disgusting as could be.

But neither Vashtorr nor McKayne, this veteran of countless ages, found Taifon's current state surprising.

Taifon had died too many times and been resurrected too many times.

He had completely and utterly lost himself.

He was merely a creation of Nurgle called Taifon. If Nurgle wished, he could create countless freaks called Taifon.

"I heard you purged many of the Black Legion's higher-ups." The Nurgling's gaze fell upon McKayne's face. "It seems to be true. After all,
