Within the foremost Skull Titan, the Daemon Prince known as Slayer sat upon the Brass Throne, commanding the entire Divine Machine formation.

This was Divine Machine—but the Blood God's Divine Machine.

Every component of its mechanical structure had been fashioned according to the same principles as a Daemon Engine.

Within the Titan's vast interior, the drivers' heads were impaled upon symbols of Khorne worship. Their dripping blood gathered into fine threads floating around the symbols, controlling the entire Skull Titan like the strings of a puppet.

The flesh and skin of mortal slaves defeated in the arena formed the conveyor belts between the Daemon Gear mechanisms. As the Titan moved, they let out agonized wails, like the mechanical roar of a true Titan in motion.

Civilians from multiple daemon worlds within the Eye of Terror had been captured and imprisoned in cages built of scalding brass.

The cages hung above the furnaces at the waists of the Blood God's Machines. The skull-shaped brass furnaces radiated heat that warped space itself, while blood as hot as lava churned through the miniature worlds within, like the raging sea of blood linking every city on Drakasi.

The people in the cages were tortured, their blood and souls falling into the brass furnaces to become part of the steaming blood sea, providing ample fuel for the Blood God's Machines.

Every Skull Titan was a vicious machine unlike anything ever seen before.

Their strategic role was not irreplaceable. They were not decisive weapons that had to be built in order to contend with the enemy's heavy War Machines. They did not even have a reason they absolutely needed to exist.
