After arranging everything, Corvus and Lorgar stood together, silently waiting for the Daemon Prince called Killing Weapon to return.
Lorgar stood beside the door with Gravity Hammer in hand, while Corvus stood directly opposite the entrance, bristling with menace.
The shattered bulkhead had somehow been reassembled.
In less than two seconds, the two clone Primarchs' minds rapidly devised a hundred ways to give Killing Weapon a "surprise" when it entered.
"I've set up the Blackstone trap." Lorgar swept his gaze over the strange objects he had just placed on the floor, then looked up at his cloned brother. "Are you sure that bastard Daemon Prince will come here?"
"Not come here. Return here," Corvus said. "When I was killing its lackeys on the deck below, I heard it roaring orders from this command deck."
Only then was Lorgar reassured.
Corvus's attention returned to the door.
After waiting for a while, Lorgar suddenly found Corvus somewhat frightening. Beneath that set of Thunder Warrior armor, he could sense an icy expression.
No matter how hard Lorgar thought, he could not remember why Corvus was standing here with such hatred. He should not have been like this. How could he bear such enormous resentment toward the Daemon Prince called Killing Weapon? When had the two of them ever come into conflict?
But thoughts were thoughts. Lorgar did not want to provoke Corvus while he was in a foul mood, so he did not ask.
And if Lorgar could have seen Corvus's face beneath the Thunder Warrior helmet, he would have been glad he had remained silent.
At that moment, Corvus's pale face beneath the helmet was twisted in a gritted-teeth expression of hatred. Memories of the Daemon Prince called Killing Weapon flashed through his mind again and again, each recollection making him angrier.
