"Fall back, Corvus. Fall back."

When Lorgar saw the uninvited guest before them, winged like a daemon, the weapon in his hands transformed back into its original heavy cannon form. The Power Claws on Corvus's hands retracted, becoming Blackstone armor-piercing shells fed into the heavy cannon's chamber.

Yet strangely, when Lorgar called out Corvus's name, not only did his clone brother turn to glance at him, but even the winged daemon looked at Lorgar, as though it had heard its own name.

"No, don't attack it!" Corvus hurriedly stepped in front of Lorgar's cannon muzzle. "It isn't a daemon, nor is it our enemy."

As he spoke, Corvus took two steps toward the daemon before him and reached out, trying to touch its hand.

Though the thing before him looked very much like a daemon, seeing the actual entity rather than a portrait filled Corvus with an intense sense of familiarity.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Ever since you entered this Skull Titan, you've been acting like something's wrong with you!" Lorgar scoffed at Corvus's words. He tried to move around his clone brother and blast the winged freak directly.

But Lorgar was clearly not the only one attempting to attack.

The moment it heard the name Lorgar, the winged daemon vanished into the shadows. While the two clone Primarchs on the command deck hurriedly searched for the intruder, Lorgar suddenly felt a searing pain in his chest.

The clone Lorgar, who called himself the C'tan's emissary, slowly lowered his head and saw that a claw had torn through his armor, his heart clenched in that black talon's palm.
