The attack, carrying a terrifying might, did not completely destroy the city wall, but the tremors it caused greatly affected both armies.

The soldiers of the human ground forces took a while to recover, while Skull Fortress ceased fire entirely for half an hour. Clearly, the many artillery positions within the front wall—and the numerous soldiers sheltering there—had most likely been wiped out in an instant. The fortress was now moving reinforcements onto the front wall.

"Continue the attack." Qin Mo was the first to step forward, walking ahead of everyone else.

The mortal soldiers, deeply shaken, immediately followed behind Qin Mo once they recovered. Even those far from him pursued that flickering electric light.

The scepter in Qin Mo's hand released a dazzling radiance. Countless people who had been terrified after enduring Skull Fortress's bombardment calmed down, and the cowardly became brave.

Sacrifice, hope, yearning, gratitude, courage... over several centuries, the positive emotions of the mortals within the Tyran Sector converged upon Qin Mo, upon the image for which he was best known.

Qin Mo himself would not be changed by faith or worship, but his weapons and equipment would.

His Power Armor had merely been hastily made in an underhive long ago and was no different from Terminator Power Armor, yet it had been strengthened by mortal positive emotions until it could withstand the repeated savage blows of Bloodthirsters.

His Chainsword had been strengthened enough to inspire alarm and terror in the species known as Gene Stealers, and enough to inflict grievous wounds that could not heal even upon those who were nearly immortal.

That scepter had originally belonged to a Psyker in an underhive. But just as the Chainsword had once belonged to a cowardly Regimental Commander, no one knew their origins, nor did anyone care.
