A wasteland lay in utter silence.

Storms howled, and acid rain laden with extremely dangerous chemicals scoured the surface, completely erasing all traces of human civilization from this dead wasteland world, along with every living thing upon it.

The silence and peace that had endured for nearly ten thousand years were suddenly broken. A black circular structure appeared out of thin air upon the surface. Then, with a roar, surging energy spread in all directions. At the very center of the structure, spark-like beams of energy erupted and opened a black plane.

Then, a leg stepped out.

As heavy footsteps rang out, the figure passing through the black plane fully entered the Real Universe.

It was an Astartes clad in Terminator Armor. Two fangs protruded from his helmet, and an eye-shaped emblem was carved across his armor.

The heavy Daemon Sword in the Astartes's hand physically opened its mouth and loudly announced its master's arrival to every living creature in the area, even imitating an echo.

But clearly, there was no one to hear it. No living creature could possibly exist on this long-forgotten world.

"Fabius." Lupercal took a box from his pack, opened it, and removed Fabius Bile's soul-bound head, holding it before his eyes.

Fabius awakened. Though it was not the first time he had sensed the outside world in this state, he still screamed every time.

His soul was bound within his own rotting brain, while everything below his neck had been amputated by Lupercal's Daemon Sword.
