Water Clan Ambassador Xin Ning was in the deepest bunker beneath the Vicar Star colony.
He silently watched the two people standing not far away, staring at the screen as they spoke.
One was an Ethereal.
The other was tall and powerfully built, leaning on a greatsword that bore none of an Earth Clan craftsman's style.
Ethereals, or rather the Ether caste, were not uncommon in the Tau Empire, since they were a race born to lead and always needed to appear in public.
But the latter was hardly a common sight.
A legend of the Viola Family—the Visionary Commander.
That greatsword, said to be an ancient relic, was the Visionary's hallmark. It had aided him, making him unstoppable and invincible on the battlefield.
This was not a conversation Xin Ning could participate in, so he merely stood there and listened quietly.
"Do you think we should attempt to communicate with it, or take other measures?" The Visionary asked the Ethereal.
Without hesitation, the Ethereal replied, "You aren't a military commander who likes taking others' advice. What do you mean by asking me for a solution now?"
The Visionary fell silent.
The Ethereal continued, "You were appointed administrator of the colony's military affairs before that uninvited guest arrived. I must obey you, so naturally, you should make this decision."
