Nothing along the way had stirred any emotion or surprise in Horus, but Perturabo's sudden shot gave him something like a start.
"Weapon malfunction." Perturabo tapped the weapon in his hand, lowered the barrel, and looked at Magnus. "I knew you'd react in time, scholar."
Magnus spread his hands.
The disturbance from using Psychic Power caught the attention of the Iron Warrior ahead.
The Iron Warrior turned to look at them and automatically joined their communications channel. "Thunder Warriors?"
The clone Primarchs wore the armor of the new Thunder Warriors. Horus knew that and admitted it outright. "Yes. Your ID says you belong to the sector?"
The ID displayed above the Iron Warrior's head, along with his overall outline, showed that he was indeed not an enemy.
It was just that the clone Primarchs had detected this strange fellow before the devices in their armor could.
"Yes. Just call me Locke." The Iron Warrior raised a hand and shared his service record.
Horus checked it and found that this fellow really was an Astartes who had joined the sector.
