On the command deck of the Mars Witch, Diana sat upon the Titan Throne and glanced at the body-data panel floating beside her right hand.
Diana was Yao En's daughter.
Even Qin Mo, who was quite close to Yao En, could only use two words to describe Yao En's Soulless One gift: disgraceful.
But this Soulless One, Yao En, had two strokes of luck.
First, the Soulless One bloodline did not pass down reliably. Fortunately, the daughter Yao En had was neither normal nor a Psyker, but a Soulless One. This spared him and his wife the pain of losing their child.
Second, Diana's Soulless One gift was so powerful that it was as if she had claimed nearly all of her father's Soulless One abilities for herself.
While piloting the Mars Witch, Diana could be stuffed directly into a drop pod, then create a Psychic Power-repelling effect that let her pierce through barriers and land steadily on the surface.
On the ground, she could affect an enormous area as well, producing the Psychic Power drainage effect documented in sector-wide Soulless One research, draining all Psychic Power from a vast region.
Yet now that they were on the Unbreakable Line, Diana's gift was not proving as effective as they had expected before arriving.
"Are we continuing with the Warmaster's and Lord of Tyran's mission?" Diana asked.
As she spoke, Diana looked toward her left, where a holographic panel floated in the air, displaying two orders.
First: destroy the anti-air fortress with a one hundred percent interception rate.
Second: investigate the Psychic Power influence on the traitor Iron Star.
