The Golden Crusade arc was almost over. The latter half, from Burning City onward, had dragged on for far too long.
After the Golden Crusade ended, I would write some side stories.
After the side stories would come the parts about the C'tan and the Necrons. Here was a little spoiler: once I finished writing the C'tan and the Necrons, then fought the Four Gods a bit more, this book would be over.
The side stories would be called: What If.
What if the Tyran Sector had never eased relations with the Imperium? What if it had not been Horst and Cawl who went to Talon, but Malakazov instead? What if Qin Mo's plan to force the High Lords into compromise through a surprise attack on Terra had to be carried out?
What if something else.
