Sanguinius spoke.

Dante nodded.

Just as he wanted to ask his Primarch what he thought the sudden appearance of these aliens meant, he keenly sensed an anomaly around them.

Everyone moving about on the command deck suddenly stopped, as though time itself had frozen.

It was as if the entire command deck had been severed from the river of time.

Then the viewport at the front of the command deck began to shatter, yet it was clearly not truly breaking, for no violent vacuum replaced it.

Some strange, incomprehensible spatial technology had evidently enveloped this place.

After the viewport shattered, a path slowly emerged, along with a grander sight.

Tall Necron Warriors holding shields and spears stood in formation on either side of the path.

At the end of the path stood the pyramid peak of that enormous crescent-shaped vessel. A Throne and yet more Necrons stood there, appearing solemn and majestic.

Then an alien familiar to Dante slowly walked down the path.

Dante quickly recognized it. It was the Grand Judiciar he had seen before.

"Please." The Judiciar gestured for them to proceed.

Within this environment created by incomprehensible spatial technology, all Sanguinius and Dante could do was comply. Yet both knew that the alien leader upon the Throne would not harm them, so they did not fight their way through.

Sanguinius and Dante stepped onto the path and walked toward the Throne.

A Blackstone device capable of amplifying the Warp's influence and weakening the C'tan's power emerged along the path, ensuring that Sanguinius would not
