Background / History
Tang San is the son of Tang Hao, the former Clear Sky Douluo, and Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor who had taken human form. After Ah Yin’s death, Tang Hao concealed their identities in Holy Spirit Village for six years while avoiding Spirit Hall’s pursuit. Tang San later learns that he carries the dormant Blue Silver Emperor bloodline through his mother. 183 217
As a Shrek Academy student, Tang San repeatedly acts in defense of his companions. He confronts Huang Yan over Ma Hongjun’s punishment, prepares hidden weapons, and joins Dai Mubai and Xiao Wu in attacking with Blue Silver Grass, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and close-combat techniques. 31 32
When Ma Hongjun is abducted, Tang San unsuccessfully begs Ye Lingling to save him, offering hidden-weapon blueprints and medicinal herbs. He later confronts Ning Rongrong over her involvement, but leaves unable to rescue Ma Hongjun himself. 41 42
Tang San’s situation worsens when Xiao Wu is exposed as a hundred-thousand-year transformed Soul Beast. He learns both Xiao Wu’s identity and Tang Hao’s past as the Clear Sky Douluo, but immediately declares that Xiao Wu’s species does not change their bond. 183
During Spirit Hall’s operation against Xiao Wu, Tang San is trapped alongside her and Tang Hao. Tang Hao tears open an escape route by burning his origin, but Huang Yan and Shui Bing’er strike Tang San from behind with Ultimate Fire and Ultimate Ice. Tang San’s Mysterious Jade Hand fails, and his right hand and half his forearm are blown apart; Xiao Wu is captured. 185 190
After the escape, Tang San falls into despair over losing both Xiao Wu and the hand needed for most of his hidden-weapon techniques. Tang Hao and Yu Xiaogang redirect him toward left-handed training, altered hidden weapons, and the potential awakening of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 216 218 219
Tang Hao brings him to Blue Silver Forest to seek the Blue Silver King’s awakening ritual. Huang Yan and Shui Bing’er destroy the Blue Silver King before they arrive, eliminating the immediate path to awakening Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and deepening his hatred of Huang Yan. 227 229 230
Appearance
Following the battle in Heaven Dou City, Tang San is described as pale, hollow-eyed, and deeply despondent. His right sleeve hangs empty below the elbow, while bandages cover the bloodstained stump. 216
- Carries a hidden-weapon pouch and is often shown preparing concealed weapons. 31 183
- His eyes emit a cold purple light when using the Purple Demon Eye. 31 42
- After losing his arm, he relies on his intact left hand for combat and training. 216 219
Personality
Tang San is intensely loyal to those he considers family. He seeks help for Ma Hongjun despite humiliation, organizes the search after Ma Hongjun is abandoned, and insists on protecting Xiao Wu after learning that she is a transformed Soul Beast. 41 43 183
His losses turn this loyalty into a consuming drive for revenge. After Xiao Wu’s capture and the destruction of his right arm, he initially considers himself useless, but Tang Hao’s guidance rekindles his resolve. Tang San ultimately defines his continued purpose as avenging himself against Huang Yan and Spirit Hall. 216 217 218
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass as his first martial soul and the Clear Sky Hammer as his second. His Blue Silver Grass has not awakened into its Blue Silver Emperor form. 216 227

- Clear Sky Hammer — A powerful tool martial soul inherited through Tang Hao; Tang San considers its weight and balance difficult to manage one-handed. 216
- Blue Silver Emperor bloodline — Would have enhanced his Blue Silver Grass, physical qualities, recovery, control, and perception if awakened through the Blue Silver King. 217 230
- Limitation — The Blue Silver King needed for the awakening ritual is destroyed before Tang San reaches it. 229 230
