"Why don't you hunt monsters over by the oasis? The monsters there should be more numerous, and it's closer, shouldn't it?" Feng Hetang asked curiously.
One candidate replied helplessly, "It's just too dangerous over by the oasis—who knows how many times more dangerous than the Black Stone Mountain Range. All kinds of poisonous insects and vicious beasts show up there. Going there would be suicide."
The other candidates nodded. Although the oasis was vast and should have plenty of food, it was home to all kinds of poisonous creatures, including venomous insects, snakes, and bees.
If they ran into any of those creatures, they wouldn't be able to escape. The slightest mistake could get them poisoned to death.
But it was different over in the Black Stone Mountain Range. Even though the Fire-Thorn Lizards were very powerful, they were just one species, and they weren't poisonous.
By comparison, the Fire-Thorn Lizards were the best prey they could ask for.

At that, Xia Ping immediately agreed to go with them to hunt Fire-Thorn Lizards.
"Seriously? For real?" The candidates were stunned. They had thought Xia Ping would lay down all sorts of harsh conditions before agreeing to hunt Fire-Thorn Lizards with them.
