The sudden turn of events left not only the bandits who had been chasing the Zhou Clan disciples completely dumbfounded, but the disciples themselves were equally bewildered. They had no idea what had happened.
"They're dead?"
One of the Zhou Clan disciples stared blankly at the three bandits lying on the ground. They still clutched their swords tightly in their hands.
Their eyes were wide open, though, and terror, unwillingness, and confusion filled their pupils. They seemed unable to understand what had happened—or how they had been killed.
"What happened?"
The young man with the sinister expression was also confused. The three men had been strong and robust, yet they had suddenly dropped dead without any visible sign of what had happened.
Whoosh!
Before they could figure it out, a sharp rush of wind came from deep within the forest. A figure appeared before them in an instant, carried by the fierce gust.
It was Xia Ping.
"Who are you?" one of the bandit leaders demanded, fixing his gaze on Xia Ping. He sensed a powerful aura emanating from the young man, like an imposing mountain that could not be moved.
The man was only at the fourth level of the Martial Master Realm, while he himself was at the fifth. His opponent was at least one level weaker, yet for some reason he felt an immense weight pressing down on him. He had no confidence that he could win.
The other bandits were also battle-hardened experts who had killed countless people. They could sense how terrifying this young man was. He was clearly a ruthless killer, unlike the Zhou Clan disciples standing beside them.
"They're students from Yanhuang University, so we're fellow disciples in a way. Could you do me a favor and spare their lives for now?"
