"Who are you?"
Jiang Yaru stared blankly as a group of people approached. She didn't recognize any of them and had never met them before, so she had no idea why they were looking for her.
"I'm Han Shan, from Zhengde Middle School." The young man in white introduced himself with a graceful air, though a trace of arrogance showed on his face, as if it came naturally to him.
The students around them were immediately stunned.
"Zhengde Middle School? Is that the famous private school in Tianshui City?"
"That's the one. I heard that the students who get in are either rich or influential. Tuition costs thirty or forty thousand Federal Coins each semester. Poor people can't afford to go there."
"And all the students at that school are really strong. Public schools like ours can't compare."
"How could we? They're all rich. They get to eat monster meat at every meal, have famous teachers guiding them, and access to all kinds of training facilities. They have a huge advantage from the start."
"Han Shan seems to be famous at Zhengde Middle School. He's the school's top expert, a Martial Apprentice Eighth Heaven powerhouse."
"No way! Doesn't that mean he's even stronger than Jiang Yaru and Chu Rong?!"
"He's not just strong; he comes from a powerful family, too. His family owns a food-processing factory that specializes in monster meat and other foods. It employs tens of thousands of workers and is worth a billion. I heard the Han family has a lot of influence in Tianshui City."
The students were all astonished as they looked at the group from Zhengde Middle School, their faces full of envy. Meanwhile, the Zhengde students held their chests even higher, as if they were on a completely different level from everyone else.
