Whoosh!

With a thought, Xia Ping entered the virtual network and arrived in a virtual space.

A virtual space could be customized into any appearance one desired. Xia Ping had set this one up as a living room, complete with sofas, a coffee table, a television, and more, all decorated in a very stylish fashion.

Then another figure appeared in the space.

Xia Ping took a closer look and found that this person stood two meters tall and was enormously fat, looking as though he weighed a ton. He had horns on his head, a pig snout, a black suit, a red tie, and gold-rimmed glasses—the very picture of a crafty businessman.

He recognized at a glance that this was a pig demon.

But that was nothing unusual in the universe. The Human Race and Demon Race had long since intermingled, and all manner of races existed together.

"Mr. Wu, you've finally agreed to communicate with me. That's wonderful. Allow me to introduce myself—my name is Jerma, and I'm the person in charge of Universal Book Media Company's Flowing Cloud Star Domain branch."

Jerma smiled faintly as he introduced himself, his face brimming with enthusiasm.

"Let's skip the nonsense. I'm a straightforward person. What do you want from me?" Xia Ping asked bluntly.

Jerma nodded. "Mr. Wu is indeed frank and forthright, so I'll get straight to the point. We approached you because we'd like you to write a book about the art of deception."

"Given Mr. Wu's current fame, if you can write such a book, it will certainly sell like hotcakes."

A glint of shrewdness unique to merchants flashed in his eyes.

To be honest, Xia Ping's fame was precisely what he had his eye on. He did not care whether it was notoriety or a good reputation.
