An hour later, Xia Ping returned to the quiet chamber on Yanhuang Peak.
"Master, I heard you got a Sacred Artifact Fragment?" Just then, the spirit Green Ox immediately appeared. It gazed at Xia Ping eagerly. The Mountain River Bead had been badly damaged and desperately needed a Sacred Artifact Fragment to recover.
"Hmph, so what if he got one? It's not for you. It's food for the Golden Slime, you stupid ox." Cat Immortal looked at Green Ox with disdain, making it clear that the fragment wasn't for the Mountain River Bead but for the Golden Slime.
"Slime!"
The Golden Slime cried out at this, clearly finding the Sacred Artifact Fragment an incredibly delicious food that it couldn't bear to give up and wanted to devour.
"Damn cat, if you can't say anything nice, keep your mouth shut." Green Ox was so angry its teeth ached. It practically wanted to beat Cat Immortal to a pulp. After all, this was a golden opportunity for it to recover.
If it missed this chance, who knew how long it would have to wait? Sacred Artifact Fragments weren't easy to come by. You needed a stroke of luck.
If the Golden Slime swallowed it, Green Ox's recovery would be indefinitely delayed.
"Master, the Golden Slime can evolve by devouring any metal. Feeding it a Sacred Artifact Fragment now would be such a waste. You might as well give it to me. If the Mountain River Bead can recover, I'm sure it'll benefit you far more than the Golden Slime would." Green Ox looked pitifully at Xia Ping.
Xia Ping stroked his chin and weighed the pros and cons. Green Ox was right. Even if the Golden Slime devoured the fragment, it would only increase some of its strength. That would
