Though these two primordial remnants were locked inside cages, they were fed and housed well, without any abuse. Having done no exercise these past days, they had actually both put on a whole round of weight.

Especially since it had been having a wonderful dream, getting intimate with a beautiful snake maiden. Yet at the crucial moment, a cry had startled it awake, scaring the wits out of it. It had thought the woman's husband had caught it in bed.

"That's my habit when I think. I like to snore while I'm thinking."
